Davin Greenwell Bio

My name is Davin Greenwell and I am a postdoctoral researcher working in the Systemic Neurophysiology Lab.

I completed my Ph.D. in exercise science with a minor in motor neuroscience at Indiana University in early 2025. In addition to my academic background, I am an ACSM certified personal trainer and I have been working in the field of health and fitness for nearly 20 years.

My previous research focused on how non-invasive brain stimulation techniques like transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) and transcranial magenetic stimulation (TMS) can be used as tools to modulate cortical excitability and influence learning.

Combining my hands-on experience in health and wellness with my scientific training, I am investigating how exercise can fortify the nervous system against the deleterious effects of aging and neurological disease.

Otherwise, I enjoy lifting weights, playing video games, philosophy, cooking, hiking, and spending time with my wife and our cats.
